Blocus

You have probably heard about whats happening in France at the moment. If you haven't google it.  Here are a few images of my high school, as we are currently under "Blocus". Effectivley the school is still running, the teachers have to go to their classes and show up to work otherwise the won't get paid. Catch is that the students have revolted and have blocked off the entrances to the school, thus even if you want to go to class it is impossible too. I have been told horror stories of students trying to get to class this week (will get to that soon.). Basically France is going psycho. In Angers the rubbish collectors are on strike so rubbish is litterally in piles and spread all over the street, its starting to smell. All trains to Paris were stopped yesterday. The guys that bring the gas into France have stopped so there is no gas for cars, planes etc. CDG has warned planes about flying in because they may not be able to get out and no body knows how long this will last for. Anway back to my life = Blocus : So as the aim is to stop anyone from getting into the school our big front gates have been shut and the street which my school is on has been cordened off. In front of the gate is a stack of rubbish bins blocking the door. People have been lighting fires and basically anything to stop people getting through the gate. Horror story one : Boy tries to go to class so he can pass the bac (like NCEA), He decideds to climb over one of the fences, another student pulls him down and a rod of the fence went through his hand. Because at any time the blocus could get called off and we would all have to go back to class immediatley, for the first few days we all sat outside the school doing well... nothing. So the musical kids played little concerts and lots of the boys were doing street soccer. People were toasting marshmellows over the rubbish bins set alight. As Chloe said it was as close to being hippies as some of us would ever get.
(C'est une description des blocus. Si vous parlez français, vous comprendrez sans explication)

Another interesting yet scary thing that happened was being ambushed by high school students from other schools.  We had people watching from both ends of the street for members of other high schools. They come to break down our blocus. Basically the spotters spot them and yell at the top of their lungs :

Run.

Everybody runs for dear life to block off the gates like a huddle of penguins. My friend Laura said whatever you do don't say anything and everybody silently blocks off the gate, it can be quite intimidating.

Héloïse et Alice

But everybody was still happy. Except for the Terminal students. Because they may fail the BAC.
Mais tout le monde était encore heureux. Sauf pour les élèves de terminal. Parce qu'ils risquent de ne pas l'bacc.

In other news :
Dans d'autres nouvelles:
Just to remind you how much I'm missing you all I thought I would post some photos of the horrible breakfast I had with Héloïse this morning.
Juste pour vous rappeler à quel point tu me manques, je pensais que je mettrais quelques photos du petit déjeuner horrible que j'ai eue avec Héloïse ce matin. ( Ca c'est drole en Anglais. Mais peut-être pas en français... ahaha)

Over and out.
